By using Roux, an SMS-based cooking assistant provided by Thought Merchants LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service.
Roux is a conversational cooking assistant that works over SMS. You can text Roux with ingredients you have on hand, and it will suggest recipes, save your favorites, and help you plan meals for your household.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Roux. By using the service, you represent that you meet this minimum age requirement.
Roux is a cooking assistant and is not a substitute for professional dietary, nutritional, or medical advice. Always consult a qualified professional for dietary restrictions, food allergies, or health-related concerns. Thought Merchants LLC is not responsible for any adverse outcomes resulting from recipes or cooking guidance provided by Roux.
You may opt out of Roux at any time by texting STOP to the Roux phone number. Upon opting out, you will no longer receive messages from the service.
Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply when using Roux. We are not responsible for any charges incurred through your use of SMS.
Any content you submit to Roux — including recipes, notes, and cooking preferences — remains your property. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store and process this content solely to provide the Roux service to you.
We may use anonymized and aggregated data derived from your use of the service to analyze trends and improve Roux. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
Roux is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that recipes will meet your expectations.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Thought Merchants LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of Roux, including but not limited to recipe outcomes, food preparation results, or service interruptions.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of Roux after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
